Red Wine Torre de Oña Reserva 2016
Availability: In stock
Made mostly from old-vines Tempranillo, complemented with a tiny amount of Mazuela (Carignan), Torre de Oña Reserva is produced in La Rioja.
Manually harvested in October and separately vinified according to the variety and plot of origin, the grapes were cold-macerated prior to alcoholic fermentation and subsequently vinified in stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control.
Then this Spanish red wine from Torre de Oña was blended, after which a 80% of it completed malolactic fermentation and a 18-month ageing period in three types of barrels: 40% in new French oak barrels, 35% in 2nd year barrels and 25% in new Caucasian oak barrels. Racking was performed twice during the process.
Finally, Torre de Oña Reserva 2016 was aged for a further 12 months in the bottle before its release.
Aerate this red wine from La Rioja 30 minutes before drinking.
