This is the new vintage of Tridente Tempranillo, a Spanish red wine marketed under the label VT de Castilla y León.
A single varietal Tempranillo, the grapes of this red wine from Castilla y León were harvested by hand at dusk to avoid excessive sunshine.
Then they were brought to the cellar, destemmed and macerated in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
After that, Tridente Tempranillo 2016 by Bodegas Tritón was transferred into French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for a period of 15 months.
The red wine Tridente Tempranillo has a clean, high, cherry-coloured robe with a garnet rim.
This old-vines Tempranillo has an intense nose. Wild berries, some smoky notes, hints of balsam and liquorice, a dash of spices and some notions of dry earth.
A bold and powerful crianza red wine, with a substantial body and a smooth texture. Lively notes of black fruit and spices, gently sweet and enlivened by an extraordinary acidity. This red wine by Bodegas Tritón has a long, elegant finish reminiscent of cocoa, pepper and vanilla.
