Tros Blanc 2014
Availability: In stock
The single varietal Tros Blanc is the flagship Spanish white wine of winemaker Alfredo Arribas. It is, so to speak, his Grand Cru.
The excellent 2014 vintage of this white wine from Montsant was harvested by hand in little boxes, and subsequently fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, this varietal old-vines White Grenache was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.
A high-end, age-worthy white wine, Tros Blanc 2014 will improve in the bottle over the next 10 years.
Decant 1 hour before drinking.
The white wine Tros Blanc has a clean, pale yellow colour with some golden tinges.
A wine worthy of some serious attention, this White Grenache has a multilayered and nuanced nose. Very pure aromas of white fruit and bone fruit, with a some flecks of white flowers, Mediterranean garrigue, deep menthol and spicy remembrances, and a mineral and earthy note.
Fresh, bold and full of potential, this white wine by Alfredo Arribas carries loads of information in the process of coming together. Citrus and peaches, a hint of balsam and flowers, a note of underbrush, and remembrances of earth, dry fruit and honey. Great acidity, intrincate texture and remarkable breadth. This Montsant white wine has a long finish with a bitter and toasted note.
