White Wine Trossos Sants 2015

Trossos Sants 2015 is a remarkable Catalan white wine produced by Alfredo Arribas.
The wine is a single varietal White Grenache, made from two estates (trossos) of low-yielding vines located in Montsant.
The grapes were harvested by hand in little boxes.
Once in the cellar, they were partially destemmed, crushed and drawn-off.
After that, half of the wine must was fermented in 500-litre French oak barrels and the other half in stainless steel tanks.
Finally, the wine was aged for 5 months in both containers.
Production of less than 6,000 bottles.
Decant 1 hour before drinking.
This wine will considerably improve over the next years. Drink until 2023.

Nose | This single varietal White Grenache from Montsant shows rich aromas of nuts, almonds, underbush, white flowers, pineapple and citrus over a deep mineral background. |
Palate | Complex and still in the making, showing notes of smoke, mineral, toast, white fruit, garrigue, white flowers and bitter almonds. Excellent acidity, with a silky body and a long, gently bitter finish. |
