Red Wine Vallegarcía Syrah 2013 Mágnum
Availability: In stock
This single varietal Syrah red is made from south-oriented, low-yielding vines grown in extremely poor soils.
The Syrah grapes of this Spanish red wine were carefully selected and brought to the cellar in little boxes.
Then they were macerated for a period of 72 hours, after which they were fermented for 21 days at a low temperature.
After that, this estate wine of the Pago de Vallegarcía winery was aged in new French oak barrels for a period of 12 months.
Finally, Vallegarcía Syrah 2013 Mágnum was aged for a minimum of 12 months in the bottle prior to its release.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Decant 1 hour before drinking.
The red wine Vallegarcía Syrah Mágnum has a very bright, clean, high purple-coloured robe with a violet rim.
Notes of ripe berries, along with black fruit, balsam, mineral and spices. This varietal Syrah from Toledo also suggests hints of bitter chocolate, dry fruit, liquorice and roasted coffee.
Meaty and powerful, this red wine by Pago de Vallegarcía is nevertheless perfectly balanced by a tense acidity and some lively tannins. Notes of ripe plums, chocolate, laurel, toast and tapenade. Long, complex finish.
|Our personal opinion||
With plenty of room for growth, Vallegarcía Syrah 2013 Mágnum is the perfect wine for Syrah lovers, as it displays a remarkable varietal character.
