Product Description

A blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% White GrenacheVenta d'Aubert Els Serrats is a single vineyard Spanish white wine.

The grapes come from an organically and biodynamically farmed plot called El Serrats. Belonging to the designation VT Bajo Aragón, the vines are grown in clay-limestone soils. Climate is a combination of Mediterranean and Semi-Continental.

Harvested by hand, once in the cellar the White Grenache grapes were vinified in stainless steel tanks, while the Chardonnay grapes were fermented in new French and Austrian oak barrels with native yeasts. Then Venta d'Aubert El Serrats 2017 was blended and aged in barrels for 11 months. Lees were gently and regularly stirred throughout the process.

Complex and well-balanced, the production of this Crianza white wine totalized only 1,000 bottles.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The white wine Venta d’Aubert El Serrats has a straw yellow colour with some golden tinges.

Fresh varietal aromas, nicely intertwined with the oak aging notes. This blend of Chardonnay and White Grenache suggests dry fruit, pineapple and white flowers, with a dim toasted background and an earthy remembrance.

Creamy and mouth-filling, this white wine of Venta d'Aubert has good grip and an excellent definition. Bone fruit and citrus, with notes of cinnamon and clove and a fleck of herbs. This white wine from Bajo Aragón has a long finish.

Our personal opinion

A savoury, deep white wine, Venta d’Aubert El Serrats 2017 will pair excellently with oily fish and white meat recipes.

surprisingly good
There is a certain autenticity to this wine. Terroir sort of shines through.
