Red Wine Venta La Ossa Syrah 2015

A single estate wine, the grapes come from old Syrah vines planted in Finca La Solana, a land plot composed of sandy and limestone soils located at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level. Climate is Continental with a Mediterranean influence.
Harvested by hand and carefully selected, the grapes were first macerated for 13 days, and then fermented in trunk-conical stainless steel tanks. After that, Venta la Ossa Syrah 2015 was transferred into French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 12 months.
This red wine from Castilla has a production of 15,000 bottles.
The Spanish red wine Venta La Ossa has a very bright, clean cherry colour with a violet rim.
Quite tight at the beginning, as this Crianza red wine aerates some interesting things begin to unfold. Mineral nuances, aromas of black fruit, chocolate, and tapenade, typical of Syrah, and a dash of spices and toast.
Meaty and expressive, this red wine from Bodega Mano a Mano is nuanced and has some room for growth. Deep mineral notes, remembrances of black fruit and black olives, and a touch of spices and balsam. Very good acidity and long, fresh finish.

This varietal Syrah from Castilla y León is surprisingly good. Pair Venta la Ossa Syrah 2015 with game dishes and casseroles.
