Product Description

Produced by the Martí Fabra winery, Verd Albera is a young Spanish white wine made from a blend of White Grenache, Macabeo, Muscat, Grey Grenache and Chardonnay.

The vines grow in the rugged, remote mountains of the Serra d'Albera in the DO Empordà, in NE Catalonia, right on the southern side of the French border.

Fermentation of this white wine from L'Empordà took place in concrete tanks. After that, the wine was kept in contact with its lees for 9 months.

The wine Verd Albera 2019 is both rich and crisp.

Additional Information
Additional Information

Clean and bright, Verd Albera has an amber colour with a green tinge.

Some citrus remembrances, alongside some resh herbs -rosemary, fenugreek- and some floral nuances define the nose of this blend of White and Grey Grenache, Muscat, Macabeo and Chardonnay. This is an expressive young white wine from L'Empordà.

Fresh and energetic, this white wine of the Martí Fabra winery is reminiscent of pears, peaches and apricots. We also find some delicious citrusy notes. Good acidity and balance. Medium finish.

Our personal opinion

Subtle, pleasant and easy to drink, Verd Albera 2019 is a white wine fit for any occasion.

I recommend this wine. This winery keeps a low profile, but produces excellent products. This has good fruit and it is also earthy, softly grassy, and very enjoyable.
