Product Description
Details

Here we have it: the first wine of 2019. An exultantly young Spanish red wine crafted following a tradition that has always been as alive in Spain as it is in France with the - excessively - famous Beaujolais Noveau.

Thus, Celler Masroig from Montsant presents its Vi Novell Masroig. It is made from a blend of Grenache and Carignan.

The young red wine was vinified in stainless steel tanks following the carbonic maceration process.

The wine from Montsant, Vi Novell Masroig 2019 honours an immemorial, venerable tradition. Every new vintage comes with a different, funny label.

Only 10,000 bottles produced.

Appearance

The wine Vi Novell Masroig has an intense, bright red colour with some violet tinges.

Nose

Exultantly fresh, the first wine of the year exhibits some juicy aromas of red fruit and herbs, combined some lactic touches and surprising remembrances of tropical fruit.

Palate

This young red wine by Celler Masroig is fresh and light, with intense notes of red fruits, a very good acidity and a medium, pleasant finish. Longer than in previous vintages.

Our personal opinion

The cheerful Vi Novell Masroig 2019 invites us to celebrate life.
