This is the new vintage of Vilarnau Brut Nature Reserva. A Cava produced following the traditional Champenoise method.
Made from the traditional varieties Macabeo and Parellada, this Spanish sparkling wine also features 15% Chardonnay. The Chard and the Macabeo come from 30-year-old vines, while the Parellada comes from some of Penedès' highest vineyards, around 700 metres of altitude.
Separately vinified according to the variety, after a 30-day fermentation Vilarnau Brut Nature Reserva 2017 was blended and bottled. Then this Vilarnau Brut Nature Vintage completed secondary fermentation and was aged for a minimum of 24 months.

The cava Vilarnau Brut Nature Reserva has a pale, bright yellow colour with some golden tinges.
Rich aromas reminiscent of white fruit and citrus, with the Chardonnay supplying some notes of custard and bakery. As it opens, Vilarnau Barcelona Brut Nature Reserva suggests notes of flowers, dry fruit and herbs.
Elegant, fresh and suggestive, with a good balance and a pleasantly dry character. This Brut Nature Vintage by Vilarnau has some creamy bubbles which caress the palate and a long finish with remembrances of ripe white fruit, honey and toast.
