Product Description

In truly exceptional vintages, Bodegas Hermanos Sastre crafts a limited-edition wine that purports to embody the essence of  Ribera del Duero.

Viña Sastre Pesus 2011 is a majestic Spanish red wine made from a blend of 80% Tempranillo, along with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

The wine is made from very old vines, 80 to 100 years of age, located at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level, and grown in clay-limestone soils.

Production was really scarce. Only 1,500 bottles.

Traditionally vinified, the wine was fermented in tanks. Transferred into oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation, it was aged for 22 months in new French oak barrels.

The Peñín Guide, Spain's most influential wine publication, gave Viña Sastre Pesus 2011 no less than 97 points.

This majestic wine will age beautifully for a minimum of 15 years.
