Red Wine Viña Sastre Roble 2017
Availability: In stock
Produced in Ribera del Duero, Viña Sastre Roble is a single varietal Tempranillo wine made from vines 20 to 35 years old.
Produced by the Bodegas Hermanos Sastre winery, the vines grow under a Continental climate with some Mediterranean influences. The soils are composed of sand and limestone.
The vineyards are farmed following environmentally friendly procedures. No chemicals or pesticides are used in any of the agricultural procedures.
Harvested at dusk, the grapes were gently pressed and cold macerated for a period of 7 days.
After the completion of alcoholic fermentation, Viña Sastre 2017 was aged for 10 months in American and French oak barrels.
This Spanish red wine from Ribera del Duero will improve in the bottle until 2023.
The wine Viña Sastre Roble has an intense cherry colour with a purplish rim.
This young Tinta del País (the local name of Tempranillo) exhibits a fruit-driven character. Aromas of wild berries, balsam and some creamy nuances, enlivened by some mineral and balsamic notes.
Intense and well-balanced, this red wine from Ribera del Duero has a meaty body and a great freshness. Juicy notions of red and black fruit, some toasted suggestions and remembrances of dry earth and aromatic herbs. This wine by Viña Sastre has some lively tannins and a medium finish.
