Produced by the Bodegas Hermanos Sastre winery, this Spanish red wine originates in vineyards which grow under a Continental climate. The soils are made of sand and limestone.
The vineyards are farmed following environmentally friendly procedures. Farming operations do not involve the use of any chemicals or pesticides whatsoever.
Harvested at dusk, the grapes were gently pressed. Then, the must of this Ribera del Duero red wine was cold macerated for a period of 7 days.
After the completion of alcoholic fermentation, Viña Sastre 2019 was aged for 10 months in American and French oak barrels.
The wine Viña Sastre Roble has an intense cherry colour with a purplish rim.
This young Tinta del País exhibits a fruit-driven character. Aromas of wild berries, balsam and some creamy nuances, enlivened by some mineral and balsamic notes.
Intense and well-balanced, this red wine of Viña Sastre has a meaty body and a great freshness. Juicy notions of red and black fruit, some toasted suggestions and remembrances of dry earth and aromatic herbs. Lively tannins and a medium finish.
