Details
Coming from DO Ribera del Duero, the wine Viña Sastre Roble is a varietal Tinta del País (or Tempranillo) coming from vines around 30 years old.
Produced by Bodegas Hermanos Sastre, the grapes are sourced from vineyards which sandy-limestone soils. The region has a Continental-Mediterranean climate.
The vineyards are farmed following environmentally friendly procedures. Farming operations do not involve the use of any chemicals or pesticides.
Harvested at dusk, the grapes were gently pressed and the must underwent a prefermentative cold maceration for 7 days. After that, this Spanish red wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature.
After the completion of alcoholic fermentation, the red wine Viña Sastre Roble 2021 was aged for 6-10 months in American and French oak barrels.
This is a no-nonsense young red wine from Ribera del Duero.
Production around 150,000 bottles.
