Product Description

Produced in the DO Toro, Yaso happily departs from the typically beefy Spanish red wine produced in the region.

The wine is a varietal Tinta de Toro wine made from young, about 15-year-old vines located in the heart of the Toro region.

Produced by the Compañía de Viñedos Iberian, also owners of the Viñas del Jaro winery, this red wine was traditionally crafted and vinified. Alcoholic fermentation lasted 14 days, followed by a 9-day skin maceration.

Prior to its bottling, Yaso 2018 was aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.

This is a yummy, approachable Toro red wine.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The red wine Yaso has a very bright, clean, cherry-coloured robe with a garnet rim.

Intense aromas of cherries, flowers and blackcurrants, combined with spices, balsam, aniseed, dry earth and menthol. An exuberant varietal Tinta de Toro.

Bold and palate-coating, but also very well balanced. This wine of Viñas del Jaro brings to mind remembrances of juicy black fruit, liquorice and spices. Crisp acidity, crunchy tannins and long finish with some earthy and balsamic notes.

Our personal opinion

Nicely drinkable, Yaso 2018 is an excellent value from Toro produced by Vinos Iberian.

Medium-bodied, fruity, well-priced. Good wine.
