As its name suggests, Enate Gewürztraminer is made from the grape variety that takes its name from its place of origin, the town of Tramin in South Tyrol.
The Enate winery was one of the first companies in Spain to produce a varietal wine entirely made from the Gewürztraminer grape.

Perfectly adapted to the Aragonese region of Somontano, the vines used to produce this Spanish white wine grow at an altitude over 400 metres above sea level. Climate is harsh, tempered only by some scarce breezes.

Handpicked at an optimal ripening state, the grapes were destemmed, slightly crushed and cold-soaked for 5 hours. Then they were fully crushed by pneumatic press, after which the resulting wine juice was drawn off and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Finally, Enate Gewürztraminer 2017 was clarified and filtered before its bottling.

Drink this white wine from Somontano until 2019.

Additional Information

The white wine Enate Gewürztraminer has a straw yellow colour with greenish tinges.

This enticing white wine by Enate shows exotic varietal aromas of white flowers, passion fruit, rose petals and lychee. Subtle hints of honey and some herbal remembrances.

With a delightful texture, this Gewürztraminer is smooth and slightly sweet, with a tight acidity and some bitter touches that linger on the palate. This white wine from Somontano has an aftertaste of rose petal jam, candied pear and bay laurel.

Our personal opinion

Light and delicate, Enate Gewürztraminer 2017 pairs well with appetizers and Asian cuisine.

Rhubarb, jasmine, honey, pollen... This is an exotic, unconventional white wine. Delicious.
