Details

The prestigious Gil Family crafts the Spanish red wine Entresuelos 2014 from grapes coming from about 30 plots scattered over the northern Spanish province of Zamora.

This Spanish red wine is single varietal Tempranillo coming from vines grown in sandy soils.

Produced by the Bodegas Tritón winery, one of the brands of the Gil Family Estates, the grapes were harvested by hand and meticulously vinified.

Fermented in stainless steel tanks, this wine from Castilla y León was then aged in French oak barrels for a minimum of 6 months.

Decant 30 minutes before drinking.

Drink now until 2020.

Additional Information

Appearance

Entresuelos has a clean, intense cherry-coloured robe with a violet rim.

Nose

This varietal Tempranillo from Castilla y León is intense. Fresh wild berries, toast, a dash of spices, liquorice and some mineral remembrances.

Palate

This red wine by Bodegas Tridente-Juan Gil Family Estates is fresh and intense, with savoury notes of black fruit, subtle ageing nuances, a lactic touch and some mineral undertones. Chewy tannins, remarkable acidity and long finish with some remembrances of red berries.

Our personal opinion

Entresuelos 2014 is an excellent value skilfully produced by the Gil Family.
