Made from vineyards up to 20 years of age, Estay Prieto Picudo is produced by Dominio Dostares.
The harvest took place in October. Once in the cellar, the grapes were selected, destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks with 3 daily pump-overs. Then this Crianza red wine was aged for 4 months in new American and French oak barrels. It was racked 3 times during the process.
Finally, Estay Prieto Picudo 2016 was gently filtered and aged for a further 6 months in the cellar before its release.
Drink until 2021.
The red wine Estay Prieto Picudo has an intense red colour with a garnet rim.
This Prieto Picudo is very lively. Exuberant notes of red and black fruit, aromas of violets, and some lactic and spicy touches over a liquorice background.
Fresh, crisp and zippy, this wine by Dominio Dostares is reminiscent of stawberry candies, toast, aromatic herbs and liquorice. Lively acidity, round tannins and long finish.
