Crafted exclusively from Trepat, a delicate red variety indigenous to the region, this rosé sparkling wine is vinified as a Blanc de Noirs. That is, the wine must is allowed a very short contact with the grape skins, so it only gets a subtle touch of aromas and colour.
After a traditional vinification, this rosé Cava was aged for a minimum of 18 months in the cellar.

The rosé sparkling wine Freixenet Rosat Trepat has a pale rosy colour with some steely tinges.

I became acquainted with Trepat wines during a trip to Barberà, Catalonia, and loved the style. This is medium-bodied, mineral, with red berries and spices. Very good.
