Details

This is the new vintage of the wine formerly known as Fuentespina Granate Roble, which now bears the name Fuentespina 3 Meses.

Produced by Bodegas Avelino Vegas, this Spanish red wine from Ribera del Duero is produced solely from Tempranillo (or, as it is locally known, Tinta del País) grapes.

The vines are over 25 years of age. After a careful, traditional vinification, Fuentespina 3 Meses 2018 was aged for 3 months in American oak barrels.

Drink this red wine from Ribera del Duero over the next 2 years.

Additional Information

Appearance

Clean and bright, Fuentespina 3 Meses has an intense cherry colour with a violet rim.

Nose

Loads of red fruit, alongside subtle nuances of blackberries and violets. The brief ageing period of this Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero appears in the form of sweet spices, cedar and dim herbal nuances.

Palate

Savoury, with a fresh and light passage, a good acidity and some ripe tannins. Mild and pleasant, this red wine by Avelino Vegas has a long finish with some spicy and balsamic remembrances.

Our personal opinion

Fruit-driven, Fuentespina 3 Meses 2018 is perfect with tapas or BBQs.

A nice wine to enjoy a "tapeo" in Logrono city -or in Barcelona for that matter.
