Gramona Argent is a single varietal Chardonnay sparkling wine crafted by the Gramona winery, one of the most respected sparkling wine producers in Catalonia with a tradition dating back to the XIXth century.

The Chardonnay vines are planted near the foothills of the Montserrat mountains, in one of the coolest areas of the Penedès region.

This Grand Reserve Cava was meticulously harvested and crafted following the Champenoise method.

After the completion of alcoholic and secondary fermentation, Gramona Argent 2011 was aged for a minimum of 35 months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.

This is a remarkable single varietal Chardonnay wine produced by the Gramona winery that, properly stored, will improve in the bottle for 2 years.

Additional Information

Clean, bright golden colour with some steely tinges.

Elegance and finesse. Complex aromas of citrus, butter, marzipan, white flowers, sugar coated fruit, dry fruit and English custard.

Delicate, creamy and seductive. Velvety-bodied, with an expressive passage through the palate, almost unnoticeable bubbles and a crisp, refreshing acidity. Notes of pomelo, orange rind, dry fruit, cream and nougat. Long, delicately bitter finish. Really good.

Our personal opinion

Gramona Argent 2011 is fresh, dreamy and glamorous. A superb sparkling wine.
