This Catalan rosé sparkling wine is produced exclusively from Pinot Noir vineyards planted in the very heart of the Garraf Massif, at a distance of 15 kilometres from the Mediterranean sea.
This Cava greatly benefits from the rocky, mineral soils of the aforementioned mountain range. They are composed of limestone and have a great abundande of marine fossils.
Produced by Can Ràfols dels Caus, after a brief maceration the grapes were vinified in stainless steel tanks.
Then Gran Caus Brut Nature Rosé was aged for 36 months in the bottle.
Drink over the next 3 years.
Bright onion-skin colour with some rosy tinges.
Mild aromas of red berries and aromatic herbs over a creamy and smokey background.
Dry, smooth, zippy. A delicate texture, with tiny bubbles, suggesting pastry, spices, wild berries and some mineral, salty touches. Very good acidity and a long, yummy finish.
