This young and well-known Spanish red wine is produced by Bodegas Izadi, a brand of the Artevinos Group.
A single varietal Tempranillo, Izadi Crianza is made from grapes coming from 70 hectares of grapevines 45 years on average. The vines are located at an altitude of 450 to 500 metres above sea level. Soils are composed of clay and limestone.
The 2016 vintage was qualified by the Rioja Regulatory Council as "Very Good".
The grapes of this Crianza red wine from La Rioja were harvested by hand. Once in the cellar, they were destemmed, gently crushed and then they completed both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Afterwards, this Tempranillo red wine was aged for 16 months in 73% American oak barrels and 27% French oak barrels, only 20% of which were new.
Finally, Izadi Crianza 2016 was clarified with egg whites and gently filtered prior to its bottling.
Drink until 2025.
The red wine Izadi Crianza has a very bright, clean, medium ruby-coloured robe with a garnet rim.
This intense and well-balanced Tempranillo from La Rioja shows aromas of red and black fruit punctuated by elegant wooden notions, such as touches of sweet spices, liquorice and smoke.
Elegant and lively, this Crianza red wine by Bodegas Izadi has a great acidity, with some ripe tannins and a very fresh passage through the palate. Prominent notions of red fruit and smoke, alongside remembrances of dry earth and spices. Long, clean finish.
