A surprising Spanish dry white wine made from Moscatel de Grano Menudo (the noblest member of the family of the Muscat grapes, known in French as Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains), Juan Gil Blanco is produced in the DO Jumilla.
Crafted by the Juan Gil winery, known for its Monastrell wines, this suprisingly sharp white wine comes from vines grown at an altitude over 700 metres above sea level.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks for 30 days, Juan Gil Blanco 2018 was aged for some weeks before its bottling.
A great value, this white wine from Jumilla should be enjoyed over the next two years.
The white wine Juan Gil Blanco has a clean, bright yellow colour with greenish tinges.
Rewardingly honest and straightforward, Juan Gil Moscatel Seco smells of of peaches and apricots, citrus and pineapple. On the background, this Muscat white wine suggests a note of aromatic herbs and dry earth.
Dry, intense and crisp, this white wine by Juan Gil is reminiscent of lime, white flowers and bone fruit. Well-balanced and crystalline, this Jumilla white wine has a very good acidity and an exceptionally refreshing finish.

A nice take on Moscatel. Super dry and edgy, but not austere. Excellent with tapas and shrimp.
