Belonging to the DO Jumilla, this Spanish red wine is produced from over 40-year-old vines grown at an altitude over 700 metres above sea level.
Meticulously handpicked and vinified in stainless steel tanks, after finishing malolactic fermentation Juan Gil Etiqueta Amarilla 2018 was aged for 4 months in French and American oak barrels.
This red wine from Jumilla, formerly known as Juan Gil 4 Meses, is packaged in a Bordeaux bottle with a yellow label that recreates oriental motives.
The wine Juan Gil Etiqueta Amarilla has an intense, bright cherry colour with a purple hue at the rim.
A nice Monastrell from Jumilla, Etiqueta Amarilla is full of intense balsamic aromas, notes of red fruit, violets, Jamaica pepper, cardamom, and some delicately sweet notes over a background reminiscent of dry herbs.
Fleshy and bold on the palate, this young red wine from Juan Gil carries loads of red fruit, a spicy fleck coming the 4 months in oak, and some balsamic hints. The texture is silky and supple, with a refreshing acidity and a long finish.
