This is the new vintage of L'Interrogant, a pleasant and fresh Spanish red wine which will help us solve the Priorat riddle.
It is crafted from a blend of Grenache, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes coming from vineyards 25 years old on average. The vines are planted at 200 metres above sea level, in slate filled soils with an abundance of red calcareous minerals.
Harvested by hand, once in the winery the grapes were destemmed and cold-soaked for 3 days in small stainless steel vats. Then this red wine from Priorat was fermented with daily pump-overs.
After that, this wine of the Clos Pons winery was aged for 9 months in 2nd and 3rd year 300-litre French oak barrels. Once the process was completed, the wine was blended and aged for a further 5 weeks in a big wooden vat to fully harmonise its components.
Decant L'Interrogant 2016 half an hour before drinking.
Drink now until 2024. Only 9,500 bottles produced.
The red wine L'Interrogant from Priorat has a high, red coloured robe with some scarlet tinges.
An enticing mineral background this Crianza red wine has, combined with aromas of Mediterranean garrigue, red berries, black fruit, liquorice, cocoa, exotic spices and menthol.
Pleasant, fresh, and full of flavour. After a bold entrance, this wine produced by Clos 93 shows great freshness and a wonderfully mineral core. Pure notions of red and black fruit, alongside remembrances of aromatic herbs and spices. Very good acidity, smooth tannins and a long aftertaste with some mineral remembrances.

The answer is YES!! Full-blown, deeply mineral and, most importantly, really fresh. Excellent
a potent wine, full-bodied and fleshy with an excellent coupage. the wine has not been any filter and therefore, given its natural state, there could be some type of precipitation, but is fantastic.
