The Adegas Ladairo winery is focused on the aim of producing white and red wines exclusively with Galician native grapes, in order to express the privileged terroir of the Monterrei DO with the utmost transparency.

This Spanish white wine from Galicia was crafted by Jose Luis Vaz, the winemaker of Bodegas Ladairo, from a blend of Godello, Treixadura, Albariño and Loureira, all of them planted on gentle hills in the Ladairo Valley, at the heart of the Monterrei DO.

Each variety was separately harvested at its optimal ripening state.

After a brief maceration period, Ladairo Blanco Barrica 2015 was fermented in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels. After that, the wine was aged on its lees for some months.

Finally, this white wine from Galicia with a very limited production was stabilized prior to its bottling.

Drink until 2021.

Additional Information

Ladairo Blanco Barrica has a clean, bright yellow colour with some greenish tinges.

This white wine fermented in oak from Monterrei, Galicia, is intense and rich on the nose. Aromas of citrus and white fruit peppered with notes of flowers and aromatic herbs. On the background, some smokey and mineral suggestions.

This white wine by Bodega Ladairo is creamy, palate-coating and savoury. It has a solid skeleton and a good acidity that balances the creamy and spicy nuances. Long, fruity finish with remembrances of tropical fruit, herbs and flowers.

Our personal opinion

Ladairo Blanco Barrica from Monterrei is a substantial white wine that pairs excellently with white meat, creamy cheeses and oily fish recipes.
