Louis Roederer Brut Premier is a remarkable Champagne produced by the Louis Roederer winery, one of the most glamorous Maisons in the Champagne region.
As usual, this Champagne is crafted from a selection of different vintage wines, of which between 8% and 25% are reserve wines.
Following the Champenoise method, secondary fermentation took place in the bottle.
After that, this Champagne was aged for a minimum of 3 years on its lees. Then it was manually disgorged and aged for a further 6 months.
In 2013, this wine won a Gold Medal in the Decanter Wine Awards, and was also considered "Best Non Vintage Champagne" by the same magazine.
Clean, bright, old gold colour with some steely tinges.
Exquisite aromas of ripe white fruit, white flowers, French patisserie, balsam, dry fruit, toast and wild berries.
Fresh and supremely elegant, with a sophisticated touch and a smooth body. Bubbles are nicely integrated with the wine, and acidity is fresh and crisp. Delicious remembrances of pastry, aromatic herbs, red berries, vanilla, baked pears and apples, and toasted dry fruit. Long finish.
