Details

The Maria Casanovas winery crafts this Pinot Noir rosé Cava from its highest estate-owned vineyards.

Once in the cellar, the grapes used to produce this organic rosé Cava were macerated with the skins for 24 hours in order to extract colour and aromas. After that, this Brut Nature rosé cava was fermented and complemented with a tiny amount of other varieties -depending on the vintage, they can be Chardonnay or the traditional Cava ones-. Then, the cava Maria Casanovas Pinot Noir Rosado Magnum was aged for a minimum of 18 months in the bottle.

This rosé reserva Cava in a magnum bottle is complex and utterly satisfying.

Appearance

The Cava Maria Casanovas Pinot Noir Rosado Magnum has a bright and deep rosy coloured robe. This organic rosé Cava has some tiny, lively bubbles.

Nose

As is usually the case with Pinot Noir wines, the aromas a both delicate and intense. Red berries, alongside some remembrances of flowers and some creamy notions reminiscent of pastry and dry fruit. This Spanish sparkling wine from Penedès has a deep balsamic background with a note of Mediterranean garrigue.

Palate

This rosé cava of Maria Casanoves enters the palate gracefully. Juicy, savoury and crisp, with notes of ripe wild berries, herbs and flowers. Lively acidity, smooth textures and great freshness. Pleasantly dry, with a very long finish.

Our personal opinion

Delicate and elegant, Maria Casanovas Pinot Noir Rosado Magnum delivers sheer drinking pleasure.

This has plenty of varietal character. Berryish, with tiny bubbles and controlled energy.
