Details

The new white wine by Ramon Canals, the Marta Violet, is also the first wine crafted by this young winemaker after his fantastic Cava Marta.

This Spanish white wine Violet is made with Muscat of Frontignan  completed by the typical varieties of Penedès, Xarel·lo and Macabeo, The vines  are scattered throughout the Penedès region, and its soils have very low levels of organic matter. 

Manually harvested, this white wine from Penedès was produced only from the "free-run" juice.

Each wine must was independetly fermented separately in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature (15-18°C). After that, the wine Marta Violet 2016 was blended and aged for a short time before being bottled.

Particularly remarkable is the attractive presentation of Marta Violet wine: a purple bottle with a clean label which highlights a flower.

Additional Information

Appearance Nice pale yellow. Bright and very clean.
Nose

Subtle hints of fresh herbs, along with notes of blue flowers, citrus and white fruit.

Palate

Fresh and silky, displaying notes of white fruit, raisins and flowers. Good acidity and long, pleasant aftertaste.

Our personal opinion

From now on, the Spanish white wine Marta Violet 2016 in violet bottle will always be in our fridge. A fresh and friendly Penedès. Drink it alone or pair it with seafood.
