Mas Tinell Brut Rosé Reserva 2008 was crafted by the Heretat Mas Tinell winery in Penedès as one of the newer comers to this winery´s family of wines. This cava was crafted entirely from the Spanish Trepat grape varietal and it was aged in crianza for three years in its bottle. After the disgorgement process Mas Tinell Gran Cuvée Brut Rosé had 5.8 grams of sugar per liter (gr/l).
The 2013 edition of the Guía Peñín scored the 2007 vintage of Mas Tinell Brut Rosé Reserve at a 91/100.
|Appearance||With a bright and clean presence Mas Tinell Brut Rosé presents a pale salmon pink colored body along with small and persistent effervescence which rises to form an abundant crown.|
|Nose||Clean aromatics with a bold expression. This Reserve Brut Rosé has a well balanced nose between red fruits, floral sensations, and dashes of herbs alongside its own crianza ageing notes from its three years-of-age. This crianza age presents divine fine lee notes from its fermentation alongside pastry aromatics, fragrant spices, and delicate balsamic covered aniseeds.|
This Brut Rosé has a sensual, provocative, and creamy entrance onto the palate with effervescence that will melt in your mouth. This is a very smooth and silky palate that has a tremendous passage which is full of flavorful red fruit barriers. The unique Spanish grape varietal used to craft this cava, Trepat, presents fresh Mediterranean Sea notes along with balsamic and everything on this palate is entwined by lively spices. The effervescence is very well integrated and pairs perfectly with this Brut Rosé´s pleasant acidity. There is a persistent finish that is deliciously fruity with some subtle bitterness. All things considered, Mas Tinell Brut Rosé Reserva 2008 Trepat has a very well-structured palate.
|Our personal opinion||
Bringing Mas Tinell Brut Rosé Reserva 2008 to a dinner party will be an assured success, or any party for that matter. We love to enjoy this cava on relaxing Sundays with traditional Spanish rice dishes that are filled with meats or fish. This cava is also perfect with a barbeque and we like to pop this bottle as soon as we light our barbecue. Furthermore, this cava even pairs well with pastries as well.
