The Semiseco Reserve cava from the Alt Camp province in Tarragona does not come from the gardens of the ancient Greek goods as its name, Ambrosía, would suggest. However, Mascaró Ambrosía Reserva Semiseco is a divine cava that is incredibly smooth and delicate.
This cava has been crafted from a coupage of Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada grapes, cultivated by the Mascaró winery in the town Aiguamurcia. These grapes were harvested by hand and transported to the Mascaró winery in small boxes. From the pressing process only the grape must was preserved and it was subsequently fermented at controlled temperatures to pressure its full aromatic potential. The second fermentation process was realized in its bottle where this cava was aged for a minimum of 15 months before at this winery. During this semi-dry cava´s disgorgement sugar was added until this cava had 35 grams of sugar per liter (gr/l).
|Appearance||This cava has a clean appearance with a pale straw-yellow colored body and a perfect rosary of effervescence which presents fine bubbles.|
This Spanish cava has blunt aromatics of candied fruits and syrups. This cava´s aromatics are dominated by white marchitas floral aromatics.
This Semiseco sparkling wine by the Mascaró winery has a round entrance onto the palate that is full-bodied and dominated by sweet fruits and syrup flavors. The carbon of this cava melts on the palate providing a creamy sensation of ecstasy. This wine´s acidity has been virtually removed from the liqueur de triage added during its disgorgement. There is a persistent and sweet finish.

This cava, Mascaró Ambrosía Reserva Semiseco, is perfect with pastries and it is a very sweet cava. For anyone who doesn´t enjoy dry sparkling wines, champagnes, proseccos, or cavas, this Semiseco cava is perfect! This is a sweet cava without any fault in its quality.
