Produced by the prestigious Bodegas Enrique Mendoza winery, Moscatel de La Marina is a sweet Spanish white wine produced in the ever-sunny coasts of the Mediterranean.
Perfectly adapted to their environment, the grapes are able to stand extremely severe conditions, namely an extraordinarily arid soil and very high levels of humidity and salinity. In fact, some of the vines are at a distance of only 10 metres from the seashore.
Traditionally vinified, the grapes were destemmed, macerated and drawn off.
Then they were gently crushed and the resulting "free-run" juice was added wine alcohol until it reached 15%.
Finally, Moscatel de La Marina 2017 was filtered and bottled.
Drink until 2022.
The sweet white wine Moscatel de La Marina has a clean, bright golden colour with some amber tinges.
This sweet Mediterranean white wine made from Muscat of Alexandria suggests intense notes of white fruit and white flowers, combined with aromas of grapes, Valencia oranges, mandarine, honey, spices and aromatic herbs.
Creamy and savoury, this sweet white wine from Alicante by Enrique Mendoza also has a rewarding freshness that prevents it from being oversweet. Very good acidity and great balance. Ripe white fruit, citrus, royal jelly, dry fruit and honey. Long, pleasant finish.
|Our personal opinion||
Extremely gentle and enjoyable, Moscatel de La Marina 2017 pairs wonderfully with dry fruit, foie and creamy cheeses.

A Muscat different from the rest, delicately sweet and floral, but with a very nice salty and earthy touch.
