This elegant Cava is produced by a family-owned winery that has maintained the name of its founder, Viader Cayón, from its inception in the XIXth century

This Brut Nature Grand Reserve is made from a traditional blend of Xarel·lo (80%), Parellada and Macabeo.

A truly artisan sparkler, it was vinified following the traditional Champenoise method.

After completing alcoholic and secondary fermentations, Muscàndia Gran Reserva Brut Nature 2010 was aged for 60 months in an underground cellar at a constant temperature of 16ºC.

Finally, this Catalan sparkling wine was manually disgorged. No sugar or shipping liquor was added to the wine.

Drink until 2020.

 

Additional Information

Appearance

Pale yellow colour with some steely tinges.

Nose

White fruit, pastry and aromas of lees, dry fruit, flowers and aromatic herbs.

 

Palate

Delicate and smooth, with a tingling mousse and some expressive flavours of citrus and ripe apples, alongside remembrances of underbrush, English custard and marzipan. Crisp acidity and long, elegant finish.

 

Our personal opinion

Muscàndia Gran Reserva Brut Nature 2010 Black Label is a surprisingly good sparkling wine that sells for a song.
