The new vintage of Nadal Salvatge Gran Reserva Brut is the first marketed under the Corpinnat label.

Legally constituted in 2017, Corpinnat is an association of high-level Catalan sparkling wine producers which decided to leave the Cava Designation due to disagreements regarding quality standards.

Made from a traditional blend, the main component of this Spanish sparkling wine is Macabeo (59%), coming from old vineyards located in the Boadella estate, owned by Cavas Nadal.

In fact, this Corpinnat sparkling wine is only produced in those vintages in which the Macabeo grapes achieve optimal levels of sugar and acidity. This time, the blend is completed with 31% Xarel·lo and 10% Parellada

After a traditional vinification, Nadal Salvatge Gran Reserva Brut 2014 was aged for a minimum of 36 months.

Production around 15,000 bottles.

Additional Information

The wine Nadal Salvatge Gran Reserva Brut has a clean, bright, pale golden colour with some grey tinges.

Quite intense, the Salvatge Brut Vintage Cava smells of ripe white and tropical white fruit, alongside citrus and aromatic herbs. This traditional blend has a smokey and leesy background.

Quite substantial, but very fresh and uplifting, this organic sparkling wine crafted by Cavas Nadal has a smooth mousse and a long finish with an aftertaste of ripe pears, pineapple, laurel and pastry.

Our personal opinion

From one of those top quality producers which still flies under the radar, Nadal Salvatge Gran Reserva Brut 2014 will certainly please the curious drinkers eager to taste something new and exciting

  1. Cava salvatge review by Friedkin on 3/22/2019

Despite the off-putting label, the wine is very pleasant. Palate is fresh and crunchy, gentle bubbles and crisp finish.

  2. good catalan cava review by Researcher on 8/24/2018

A more than presentable sparkling wine. Tart, fresh, tiny bubbles, long long finish.
