Crafted by the Soto y Manrique winery, Naranjas Azules Garnacha is a Spanish rosé wine belonging to the Castilla y León DO.

An interesting feature of this wine is that it is produced like a Blanc de Noirs.

This wine is made from old-vines Grenache grown in sandy clay soils. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 780 metres.

After the harvest, the grapes were crushed, put into stainless steel tanks and fermented without prior maceration with the grape skins. Since the wine juice and the skins were only in contact for a very short period of time, the winemaker was able to obtain an only slightly coloured must from red grapes. This is why we call this wine a Blanc de Noirs.

A fresh, delicious Grenache rosé wine to be enjoyed over the next 2 years.

Bottled in February 14th 2018, Naranjas Azules Garnacha 2017 has a production of 40,000 bottles.

Additional Information

The rosé wine Naranjas Azules has a bright, rosy, low-medium robe with orange-coloured and onion skin-coloured tinges.

This rosé wine by the Soto y Manrique winery conveys an interesting varietal expression, with aromas of strawberries and cherries, along with white flowers, some herbal notes (mint, fennel) and a touch of mandarin orange.

This Spanish rosé wine from Castilla y León is tremendously fresh and gulpable. Notes of succulent red fruit, enlivened by touches of fresh herbs, flowers and hints of citrus. Medium seductive finish.

Our personal opinion

Dressed in an elegant, French-like, rosy suit, Naranjas Azules Garnacha 2017 by Soto y Manrique winery goes well with pasta, rice or blue fish. It is also a delightful afternoon drink.
