Details

To produce NDQ Roble 2015, the winemaker at Crápula Wines, blended a significant part of Monastrell (aka Mourvèdre) with a tiny amount of Syrah.

Vines are grown in the Jumilla DO at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level, in limestone soils with very low levels of organic matter. Climate is mediterranean-continental.

NDQ Roble 2015 from Jumilla was vinified in 12,000 litre stainless steel tanks. Grapes were destemmed, fermented at a temperature of 27ºC and macerated for over a period of 10 days. Then this Spanish red wine was aged for 3 months in American and French oak barrels. Prior to its bottling, the wine was gently clarified with egg whites.

Additional Information

Appearance

Clean and bright, NDQ Roble 2015 has a medium-high cherry robe with a garnet hue at the rim.

Nose

Young and vibrant, with aromas of ripe black fruit, floral touches and a sweet lactic sensation. Delicate ageing notes, balsamic hints and toasted nuances.

Palate

This red wine NDQ Roble 2015 is smooth and gentle on the palate, full of fruit, with ripe tannins and a well-balanced acidity. Long, creamy finish with some balsamic overtones and spicy remembrances.

Our personal opinion

A great barbecue wine, and also a great wine to share with friends in a relaxed afternoon.

The classic line, with good quality and presentation in meritage bottle, with a good cork, bottled directly; it is a very pleasant wine.
