It is crafted from over 40-year-old Grenache vines, complemented by some Cabernet Sauvignon. They are cultivated in soils rich in Lumaquel·la (rocks composed of marine fossils) which give these vines a uniquely mineral character.
The grapes were harvested by hand and preserved in chambers for 24 hours after being picked. Then they were destemmed and macerated for 3 days until being transferred to its final fermentation. After finishing the process, this red wine from Tarragona was pressed and passed by gravity into 5,000-litre new and used French oak barrels from Allier, Nevers and Vosgues to complete malolactic fermentation.
Finally, the Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 13 months and the Grenache was aged for 14 months.
Drink Nus del Terrer 2015 until 2025.
Decant 30 minutes before drinking.
The red wine Nus del Terrer has an attractive cherry colour with purple shades.
High aromatic intensity. The Grenache provides sweet, juicy red fruit, which is nuanced by spices, coffee and cocoa, which present themselves well with hints of vegetables (big pulpy green vegetables from the Cabernet Sauvignon). There is also fresh balsamic background with an intense mineral remembrance.
Intense and flavorful, this Crianza red wine by Vinyes del Terrer is a silky wine with a substantial volume. Intense remembrances of cherries, a hint of blueberries and a deep minerality entwined in perfect harmony. Tips of black pepper, tobacco and flowers. Good acidity and pleasant tannins (which are well polished). A long finish that leaves a sweet and pleasant aftertaste.

Intriguing red wine. Smokey, peppery, with jammy red berries and mineral tips which I don't know how to definde. For me it is a yes.
