Gin Nut is brewed in an artesian fashion in the region of Empordà (Catalonia), which is situated between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea. Here the soils are very rich and the climate is typical of the Mediterranean. This gin is produced following the standard of London Gin assuring that everything is traditional with ethyl alcohol of the greatest quality will all natural botanic maceration of at least 24 hours. Initially, four different distillates are crafted. Then 13 of the finest floral varieties in the region are hand selected and are primarily: juniper, coriander, cardamom, angelica root, lemon peel, orange peel, green walnuts, rosemary, thyme, olive leaves, cinnamon, liquorish, and bitter almonds.
This gin is transparent and very clean with a nose that is very enticing. It is intense and elegant, with many nuances aromatics that are very seductive. There is a strong citrus background that reflects the Mediterranean character of this gin. There are marked herbaceous notes and balsamic that gives to flavorful spices. This gin finishes well with a pleasant citrus aftertaste of orange peels. It’s a real treat.
