Details

The Señorío de Otazu winery crafts Otazu Premium Cuvée from a selection of its best vineyards.

This Spanish red wine is made principally from Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented with Tempranillo and Merlot, all of them harvested at their optimal ripening time.

Once in the cellar, the grapes were cold-macerated for a week. After that, this red wine from Navarra was fermented in stainless steel tanks.

Finally, this wine from Navarra was aged for 12 months in oak barrels, and for a further 14 months in the cellar prior to its release.

Decant 30 minutes before drinking.

Drink Otazu Premium Cuvée 2014 until 2024.

Additional Information

Appearance

The red wine Otazu Premium Cuvée has a very bright cherry colour with some ruby glints.

Nose

This red wine from Navarra by Señorío de Otazu suggests aromas of black fruit, vanilla, spices, toast, balsam, aromatic herbs and some earthy remembrances.

Palate

Bold and intense, this blend of Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon has a very good acidity and a solid backbone. Ripe fruit, subtle toasted nuances, and remembrances of spices, balsam and underbush. Mild tannins and long finish.

Our personal opinion

The wine Otazu Premium Cuvée 2014 combines intensity and drinkability. An excellent value.

Hard to find something quite as good for the price. Besides, the wine already has 4 years and it is fully ripe and enjoyable.
