The Spanish rosé wine wine Pago del Vicario Petit Verdot Rosade is a single varietal Petit Verdot. A difficult, late-ripening variety that seems to feel better in the hot plains of Castilla than in the great estates of Bordeaux, its homeland.
Crafted by the Pago del Vicario winery, the grapes were harvested, destemmed and cold-soaked in stainless steel tanks for a period of 8 hours.
Then the juice was drawn off and fermented at a low temperature to extract the colours and aromas that make this Pago del Vicario Petit Verdot Rosado 2017 a wine worth trying.
Serve cool (around 8-9ºC). Drink until 2020.
The rosé wine Pago del Vicario Petit Verdot has a medium, clean cherry robe with a bluish hue on the rim.
Intense and fragrant, this Petit Verdot from Castilla is reminiscent of strawberries, raspberries and liquorice. We also find some notes of jellybeans, menthol and dry overgrowth.
This rosé wine by the Pago del Vicario winery has a fresh, savoury palate with good acidity and well-rounded tannins. Medium-long finish with remembrances of seasoned fruit, balsam and menthol.
|Our personal opinion||
An unusual rosé, Pago del Vicario Petit Verdot 2017 almost feels like a red wine because of its intense character. Anyway, it is a wine for any occasion, specially in the summer.

Yummy rosado wine!! Petit verdot is great!
Interesting rosé. Bitter herbs, minerality, medium body, quite dry. Try it with Cantonese food.
