Details

Negre Franc is a Catalan red wine produced by the Pardas winery.

This wine is made from a blend of 73% Cabernet Franc, 18% Cabernet Sauvigon and 8% Sumoll.

Farmed following minimal intervention techiques and environmentally friendly procedures, all of the vineyards are located in Penedès.

Both Cabernets come from vines with an average age of 20 years.

As for the indigenous Sumoll, the plants are over 70 years of age.

Separately harvested and vinified, the grapes were destemmed and vinified in centenary concrete tanks lined with resin.

After a period ranging from 15 to 35 days, the wine was transferred into 225 and 300-litre French oak barrels, where it was aged for 10 months.

Pardas Negre Franc 2011 was delicately filtered prior to its bottling.

Producion fo 14,802 bottles. Drink now until 2023.

Decant 30 minutes before drinking.

2 Cabs and... Sumoll? It sounds strange, but now, after 7 years, it works surprisingly good.
