As its name suggests, Parés Baltà Calcari is made from vines grown in a calcareous soil which provides a particular minerality to the wine.
The vines are located at an altitude of 230 metres above sea level. Climate is purely Mediterranean.
Meticulously harvested and macerated for a period of 4 hours, this organic white wine from Penedès was fermented in stainless steel tanks for over a period of 3 weeks at a controlled temperature.
Finally, Parés Baltà Calcari 2018 was aged for a period of 3 months on its lees with daily stirrings.
The white wine Parés Baltà Calcari has a clean, straw yellow colour with some greenish glints.
This organic Xarel·lo from Penedès is well defined. Notes of citrus, particularly ripe pomelo, combined with notions of white flowers, aromatic herbs and some deep mineral undertones.
A wine with a distinctive mineral character, this white wine from Parés Baltà has a medium body, a tense acidity and great freshness. Citrus, some iodized nuances, and remembrances of bitter herbs. Excellent balance and medium finish.
