The delicious Parvus Chardonnay is an organic Spanish white wine fermented and aged in oak by the Alta Alella winery.
A single varietal Chardonnay, the grapes come from vines planted at altitudes between 150 and 300 metres above sea level.
Soils are mainly composed of Sauló, a local term that designates a kind of decomposed granite.
Harvest of this white wine from the DO Alella, Catalonia's tiniest Designation of Origin, was meticulous. The grapes were selected in the cellar and macerated prior to fermentation.
Then Parvus Chardonnay 2018 was fermented in new French oak barrels, where it was also aged on its lees for 3 months.
Drink this white wine from Alella over the next 3 years.
Appearance | The white wine Parvus Chardonnay has a very bright, clean, straw-yellow colour with some golden tinges. |

Nose | This organic white wine by the Alta Alella winery is, one might say, quite sexy on the nose. Aromas of white fruit, bananas and tropical fruit, together with white flowers, some herbal notions, a touch of wet earth, and a dash of smoke and spices. |
Palate | Fresh, unctuous and pleasant, Parvus suggests some notes typical of a Med Chardonnay, such as ripe pineapple, creme brulée and patisserie, alongside remembrances of clove, white flowers, and cumin. Acidity is good, and the wine has a long, elegant finish. |
Our personal opinion | An easy-to-drink, pleasant, slightly dry wine, Parvus Chardonnay 2018 makes a great pairing with hearty fish dishes and white meat. |

Smooth organic Chard that manages to keep the freshness. Gently spicy, but not suffocated by the oak ageing. Very good.
