The 2012 vintage of the well-known Parxet Gran Reserva has changed its name. Now it is called Parxet Gran Reserva M.C Vintage, a reference to Maria Cabané, the wife of Bodegas Parxet's founder.
It is made from Parellada, Pansa Blanca and Macabeo, harvested at their optimal ripening state.
Once in the cellar, the grapes were destemmed and traditionally vinified. Then this Cava from Alella was bottled and added yeasts and sugar to complete secondary fermentation.
Finally, Parxet Gran Reserva M.C 2012 was aged for a minimum of 30 months. After its disgorging, this Spanish sparkling wine was added a tiny amount of sugar, resulting in an Gran reserva extra brut.

Nose | Delicate and fresh, it smells of citrus, white fruit, green apples and fennel. This Gran reserve sparkling wine also suggests aromas of dry fruit, pastry, fine lees and dim herbal remembrances. |
Palate | The entrance is fresh, lively and pleasant, with a smooth body and a creamy, caressing mousse. This Gran Reserva by Parxet is well-structured, crisp and pleasant, with a long, delicately bitter and saline finish. |
Our personal opinion | Subtle and elegant, the Cava Parxet Gran Reserva M.C 2012 is always a good try. |
