The well-known Castillo de Perelada winery possesses an important art collection of paintings, objects and old books.
The wine Perelada Collection Blanc pays homage to this remarkable heritage.
First the free-run juice was fermented at a low temperature. Afterwards, 3% of this wine from L'Empordà was aged in acacia barrels for 2 months.
A fresh, original white wine, Perelada Collection Blanc 2018 should be drunk until 2021.
This Spanish white wine Perelada Collection Blanc has a bright yellow colour with golden glints and some steely tinges.
This blend of Chardonnay & Sauvignon Blanc exhibits some prominent notes of white fruit, along with hints of tropical fruit, aromatic herbs, yeasts and notions of fine wood.
Fresh and unctuous, this white wine from Castillo Perelada is very pleasant on the palate. Remembrances of white fruit compote and quince jelly, alongside some salty and herbal touches. Good acidity and balance. Medium, fresh finish.
|Our personal opinion||
Quite original, the brief ageing in acacia barrels gives Perelada Collection Blanc 2018 from L'Empordà a rather particular character.

Original and well made. Balanced, not overtly creamy.
This is a nice, original white wine. The ageing in acacia barrels makes for a different kind of aromas, which are fresher than the oaky ones. Good job by Perelada.
