The vineyards belong to the DO Bierzo. Manually harvested and selected, the grapes were destemmed and fermented uncrushed in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with frequent punch-downs and pump-overs.
Finally, this red wine from El Bierzo was aged in oak barrels for a brief period of 3 months.
Drink Petit Pittacum 2017 until 2021.
The wine Petit Pittacum has a very bright, clean, medium cherry-coloured robe with a violet rim.
This young red wine displays primary aromas coming from the fruit, such as raspberries, cranberries and wild strawberries, along with some herbal remembrances and hints of laurel, liquorice and balsam. A varietal Mencía from El Bierzo.
Light, juicy and fresh, this young red wine by Bodegas y Viñedos Pittacum has an outstanding acidity, with a delicately bitter core and remembrances of violets, red berries and wet earth. Medium finish with some fruity and mineral remembrances.
|Our personal opinion||
A modern wine in the best sense of the term, Petit Pittacum 2017 is juicy, honest and delicately oaked.

Easy and pleasant, great by the glass.
My everyday wine for some months. I enjoyed every sip of it.
Intense fruit and some earthy and bloody notes. Great value!!
