A single varietal Tinta de Toro wine, this Spanish red wine is made through the carbonic maceration method.
Its Spanish name ("primero" means "first"), clearly indicates its special nature, as this wine was released onto the market less than 3 months after the harvest.
Another distinctive feature of this young red by Bodegas Fariña is that the label always reproduces the work of a visual artist.
The wine was vinified for only 7 days at a temperature of 20ºC in stainless steel tanks.

The red wine Primero has a bright, attractive cherry colour with a purple rim.
Tremendously expressive notes of strawberries, raspberries and cherries, alongside a dash of violets, typical of the Tinta de Toro. This young red wine also suggests some hints of herbs and black pepper.
Meaty, fresh and yummy, this carbonic maceration wine by Bodegas Fariña shows some prominent flavours of fruit, lively tannins and a great acidity. Fresh, pleasant and almost embarrasingly easy to drink.

Sheer drinking pleasure. I dig it.
I like the Beaujolais style, so I tried this wine. It is fresh and more robust than the French type, but also more satisfying.
