Details

Entirely crafted from Tempranillo, Protos Rosado is a Spanish rosé wine made from estate-owned vineyards scattered over the Ribera del Duero region.

The harvest took place at dusk. Once in the cellar, the grape bunches were destemmed and macerated for 16 hours with the skins.

After that, this rosé wine from Ribera del Duero by Bodegas Protos was drawn-off and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.

Appropriately, Protos Rosado 2018 was not aged in oak to preserve its berryish freshness.

Additional Information

Appearance

The wine Protos Rosado has a carmine colour with some strawberry-coloured tinges.

Nose

This rosé from Ribera del Duero has a medium aromatic intensity defined by aromas of red berries, candies, red flowers, bread dough, and some mineral remembrances.

Palate

Light and pleasant, this rosé wine from Bodegas Protos has a lively character and a very good acidity. Remembrances of ripe strawberries, aromatic herbs and orange rind, nuanced by some spicy hints. This Tinta del País has a medium finish with an aftertaste of ripe strawberries and candies.

Our personal opinion

The wine Protos Rosado 2018 is uncomplicated and accessible. An ideal rosé for al fresco dinings.
