The production of QX Quatre Xarel·los has an interesting, almost sentimental history behind it.
It is made by Celler Mas Candí, a winery composed by four young winemakers, each of whom inherited a vineyard from their grandfathers.
Traditionally vinified, QX Quatre Xarel·los 2016 was aged for 8 months in 4 different types of barrels.
Namely, this white wine from Penedès was aged in chestnut, acacia, French and American oak barrels, each of which brings an interesting nuance to the resulting wine.
We suggest that you decant the wine 30 minutes before you drink it.

The wine QX Quatre Xarel·los has a pale, clean, bright yellow colour with some golden tinges.
Fresh, intense notes of aniseed, white flowers, citrus and vegetables, typical of a Xarel·lo from Penedès, combined with some toasted and spicy nuances, define the nose of this Crianza white wine.
Well-balanced and smooth-textured, this wine by the Mas Candí winery is reminiscent of lime and dry fruit, with a dim layer of spices, pastry and aromatic herbs. Crisp acidity and long, creamy finish with some delicately bitter remembrances.
